Jaydev Unadkat Remains Hopeful Of Making A Comeback In The Indian Team

Jaydev Unadkat sees the next three to four years as his prime. Despite being denied a return to Team India by the selectors, Unadkat has stated that he will continue “pushing his limits.”

Unadkat has played one Test, seven ODIs, and ten T20Is for India, with his most recent appearance being in 2018.

Only 18 international games have been played by the left-arm pacer for India. His sole Test performance to date took place in 2010. He has competed in seven ODISs as the representative of India, but not since 2013. He participated in all seven ODIs in 2013.

Unadkat has ten times represented his country in T20I matches. He played his first T20I in 2016 against Zimbabwe and his final one in 2018.

However, after his maiden Jaydev Unadkat, a left-arm pacer has not made a comeback since being called up for South Africa at the Centurion in December 2010. The Saurashtra captain may have that on the back of his mind, but he has not allowed it to affect him. He has taken 224 wickets in the past six seasons at a strong common of 19.5.

Jaydev Unadkat, a left-arm fast bowler, was the offensive leader for India’s Under-19 team at the 2010 World Cup in New Zealand.

On his development over the previous few seasons, Unadkat mentioned, “I see it in two components. Me as a red-ball and white-ball bowler. With the purple ball, I’ve been constant over the previous 4-5 seasons.”

“I don’t see statistics for each sport, however, I’ve been capable of deciding up wickets in all of the video games that I’ve performed since 2015-16. In the meanwhile, that’s my energy. Unadkat’s efforts have not gone unnoticed, and he was observed on Saturday having a lengthy talk with national selector Sunil Joshi.

During the talk with the selector, he said, “The conversation was about being in a good rhythm. It is going to be a long season and a lot of players are getting injured. So, the break might come. Whenever it does, the only thing in my hand is to stay fit and keep bowling in the same rhythm.”

Unadkat was last seen playing for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2022.
