The India Women’s National Cricket Team batter Jemimah Rodrigues has been playing in the Hundred 2026 for Southern Brave. However, she will not be part of the squad and the rest of the tournament after she picked up an injury during the competition. The franchise announced on Saturday regarding the injury to the Women in Blue batter.

It is believed that Jemimah Rodrigues has suffered a hamstring injury. She has been replaced by all-rounder Charlie Knott in the squad. Jemimah has been one of the Indian stars who have been participating in the Hundred. She has been in good form, and it is a big blow for the franchise.

Jemimah Rodrigues has piled up 143 runs in six innings for the Brave at an average of 35.75 and a strike rate of 131.19. She looked in good touch as her team is in a good position with 5 wins in 6 matches and is presently second in the table, and she will be a big miss for the franchise.

The Southern Brave posted on their Instagram account, captioning it, “We can confirm that due to an injury suffered by Jemimah Rodrigues, we’ve signed Charli Knott as our injury replacement for the remainder of The Hundred. Wishing you a speedy recovery, Jemi.”

Her best performance came for Sunrisers Leeds, as he held her nerves in the run chase with an unbeaten 42 off 34 balls after Brave collapsed to 36/3 at one stage. She kept the team in the chase and won the game by 5 wickets.

She also scored 32 off just 22 balls at a strike rate of 145.45 as the franchise posted a total of 126 before they defended the total by one run. She was awarded the Player of the Match, and this was her back-to-back award.

Jemimah Rodrigues to miss Asia Cup 2026?

Jemi had a tough T20 World Cup in England as she could only score 94 runs across five tournament innings. This was one of the reasons for India's failure in the recently concluded Women's T20 World Cup 2026, where they were knocked out of the group stage for the second consecutive time after losing to Australia and South Africa.

She had a terrific ODI World Cup at home, and her century helped India to have the highest successful run chase in the semi-final against Australia and win their inaugural title.

India will hope that she recovers quickly as the fixtures for the forthcoming Women's Asia Cup have been announced by the ACC. It is set to begin on August 28, with Hong Kong taking on Thailand in the opening game. India will begin its campaign against Thailand on August 30.

Jemimah has been named in the squad for the forthcoming Asia Cup. It will be a T20 competition, and India were the runners-up last time as they lost to Sri Lanka in the final. Yastika Bhatia and Pratika Rawal are the two names in contention for a recall to India’s T20I squad if Rodrigues is ruled out of the Asia Cup as well.
