Jewellery, 75,000 cash stolen from Yuvraj Singh's Panchkula home, police file FIR

Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh is one of the finest all-rounders in the history of Indian cricket. Yuvraj has helped India win a lot of games on his own and was also the Player of the Tournament during the ODI World Cup 2011. Yuvraj made significant contributions with both bat and ball during the whole tournament and also scored a hundred.
Yuvraj Singh played a total of 402 international matches and has scored 11778 runs at an average of 35.05. His highest score was 169 and he scored 17 hundreds and 71 half-centuries during his international career. He also picked up 148 wickets with the ball and has 1 fifer to his name.
Apart from having such a legendary career, thieves didn’t spare Yuvraj Singh‘s home and ran away by executing a theft of worth INR 75000 and stole many more things.
Thieves execute INR 75000 theft at Yuvraj Singh’s house
The police have filed an FIR of theft of INR 75000 cash and various jewellery from the Panchkula home of former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh. Yuvraj’s mother reported the incident to the police and the first suspicion in on the household staff and employees. A cook and the housekeeping staff are on the radar of the police as informed by Yuvraj’s mother Shabnam.
While revealing the incident, Shabnam Singh stated that the housekeeping staff Lalita Devi, and the cook Sildar Pal, who belong to Saketdi and Bihar, are the ones who are under suspicion. Shabnam stated that she had been staying at the family’s Gurugram residence since September 2023. After she returned to the house in October 2023, she found that cash, jewellery and other valuable items were missing.
At first, Shabnam Singh investigated the matter personally but wasn’t able to find any leads. During the same period, Lalita Devi and Sildar Pal terminated their contract and flew away during the Diwali period. Shabnam has also expressed her suspicion of the two and had demanded strict action from the police officials.
The police officials have registered an FIR against the two and have also begun an investigation. SHO Mansa Devi denied disclosing anything to the media and stated that if they reveal everything then how will they be able to handle the thieves? She said, “If we disclose everything to the media, how will we manage to apprehend the thieves?.”
Before, former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly also complained of the theft of his phone. Ganguly filed an FIR in the police station and stated that the phone contained important documents. He urged the police officers to investigate the matter and also prevent the mishandling of the device.
Sourav Ganguly was away from his house when the incident took place. He stated that he had left the phone at a proper place in his house and since then his phone has been missing. During that period some paintwork was done on his house and they also became potential suspects who might be questioned by the police.
Ganguly revealed that the cell phone had disappeared from his home in a letter he wrote on Saturday to the officer in charge of the Thakurpukur police station. He remembered last seeing the gadget at around 11:30 am, after which, despite a thorough search, it was nowhere to be found.
