England National Cricket Team batter Joe Root achieved a massive feat in the history of Test cricket. He became the second youngest batter to score 12000 runs in the longest format of the game, becoming just the 7th batter to have achieved the feat in the game.

Joe Root achieved the feat in the ongoing Test match against West Indies National Cricket Team. The dead rubber third game of the series between the teams is underway at the Edgbaston in Birmingham. The middle-order batter has continued his good form in Test cricket and has played another good innings.

Joe Root went past 12000 runs in Test cricket on the first ball post Lunch on Day 2. The batter hit a glorious four against Alazarri Joesph and achieved the feat. The right-hander, who slammed a glorious century in the last game, made sure he continued his golden form with the bat in the last game.

Joe Root bailed the team out of trouble after they were left tottering at 54/5. The batter, along with skipper Ben Stokes (54), joined hands and ensured that they brought the innings back on the track and put pressure back on the West Indies National Cricket Team, adding 115 runs partnership.

Sachin Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting are second, having achieved the feat in 247th innings.
