England batter Joe Root has achieved a massive feat in the history of Test cricket. The right-hander equaled Kane Williamson and Steve Smith for the most number of centuries by the fab four batters in the history of the longest format of the game.

Joe Root achieved the feat in the ongoing second Test against West Indies National Cricket Team. The penultimate game of the three-match series between the teams is currently taking place at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham and the hosts have completely taken the command over the game.

One of the major factors behind that has been premier batter Joe Root. After West Indies took a lead of 41 runs in the first innings, England were under a bit of pressure. However, it was the senior batter who stood tall for his team and tilted the game completely in the team's favor with his batting.

Joe Root didn't put a foot wrong in his innings and played some gorgeous shots. He was all over the West Indies National Cricket Team bowlers and made sure that he helped his team take a massive first-innings lead of over 350 runs and outplay the opposition.

Joe Root has carried his golden touch in the longest format of the game and is making sure that he bats as long as possible. The right-hander first slammed his 66th half-century in Test cricket. He joined greats Rahul Dravid and Allan Border as the batters with the most fifties in the longest format of the game, being only behind Tendulkar and Chanderpaul.

After scoring the half-century, Joe Root made sure the converted it into the ton. The right-hander slammed his 32nd Test century. This was his 6th ton against the West Indies National Cricket Team and he joined the like of Alastair Cook, and Allan Lamb in the list of most centuries against West Indies.
