Jonny Bairstow goes unsold at IPL Auction 2025

England star Jonny Bairstow has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 2 crore. The right-handed batsman played for Punjab Kings in the last season of the IPL.

In 11 games in IPL 2024, Bairstow scored 298 runs including a century that helped Punjab Kings chase down a record total of 262 runs against eventual champions Kolkata Knight Riders.

Bairstow's journey in the IPL began in 2019 when he was signed up by Sunrisers Hyderabad. In his first IPL season, the wicketkeeper-batsman scored 445 runs in 10 games with the help of a century and two half-centuries.

In IPL 2020, he scored 345 runs before scoring 248 runs in IPL 2021. He was signed up by the Punjab Kings in the 2022 mega auction,. In IPL 2022, Bairstow scored 253 runs before missing the 2023 season due to an injury.

Bairstow is known for his aggressive batting at the top of the order and could attract several teams in the auction.
