In a career spanning over a decade, he has played in 250 T20 games throughout his career and has amassed 6031 runs with an average of 30, and also has 5 centuries to his name. With the gloves, he has held onto 131 catches and completed 16 stumpings.

Jonny Bairstow made his debut in the IPL back in 2019 with the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Bairstow opened the innings with Australian batter David Warner and played with the franchise till 2021. Playing in three seasons, he amassed 1048 runs in 28 matches before making his way to the Punjab Kings.
Playing for Punjab Kings between 2022-24, the English batter played in 22 games and managed to score 551 runs with a century that helped them chase the biggest total in IPL history. He then played for the Mumbai Indians in 2025 in the knockouts, as he opened the innings and scored 85 runs in two games.
