England star Jos Buttler registered himself in the IPL 2025 auction at a base price of INR 2 crore, the highest bracket. He is one of the marquee players for this year's auction. The right-handed batsman plied his trade for Rajasthan Royals in the last IPL season.
The wicketkeeper-batsman struggled with consistency last season but still managed to score 359 runs including two centuries.
Buttler has been with the Rajasthan-based outfit since 2019. In IPL 2022, he scored a staggering 863 runs with the help of 4 centuries and as many half-centuries to help the Royals qualify for the IPL final for the first time since 2008.
Overall, Buttler played 83 games for Rajasthan Royals and scored 3055 runs with the help of 7 centuries and 18 half-centuries.
Only Sanju Samson and Ajinkya Rahane have scored more runs for the franchise than him while no batsman has managed to score more centuries for the Royals than the England batter. Apart from the Royals, Buttler has also represented Mumbai Indians in the IPL.
