Kamindu Mendis bought By Sunrisers Hyderabad For INR 75 lakh at IPL Auction 2025

Kamindu Mendis has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 75 lakh. The Sri Lanka all-rounder is yet to play in the tournament. He is a left-handed batsman and an ambidextrous spinner.

Kamindu has been representing Sri Lanka in international cricket since 2018. He made his T20I debut in 2018 before playing his first ODI in 2019. Three years later in 2022, Kamindu made his Test debut as well. He is now a regular in the Sri Lankan team across all three formats.

So far, he has played 8 Tests, 14 ODIs and 21 T20Is. Mendis has a stunning record in Tests. In just 8 Tests, he has scored 1004 runs at an average of 91.27. He has hit 5 centuries and 4 fifties in the longest format of the game so far.

In ODIs, Mendis has scored 231 runs while in T20s, he has scored 374 runs. Mendis has also played 39 games in the Lanka Premier League and has scored 782 runs including five fifties.
