Kane Williamson, Devon Conway, Tim Southee, Trent Boult To Miss New Zealand's Series Against Ireland, Scotland And Netherlands

New Zealand has announced the squad for the upcoming three series against Scotland, Ireland, and the Netherlands. New Zealand’s crucial players like Kane Williamson, Devon Conway, Tim Southee, and Trent Boult have been given rest for the series and are not part of the squad.

New Zealand cricket announced that these players have been left out due to “commitment to player wellbeing”. Since these 4 players were part of a two-month-long IPL 2022 and England tour, they have been given rest. As a result, these 4 players will return home after the 3rd Test against England. They will be back during the West Indies tour in August 2022.

Tom Latham To Lead New Zealand in ODI Series Against Ireland

Tom Latham has been named skipper for the ODI series against Ireland. He will also lead the team in the one-off ODI against Scotland. For the T20Is, Mitchell Santner is nominated as the skipper.

Some experienced players in the squad include Finn Allen, Lockie Ferguson, Martin Guptill, Adam Milne, Henry Nicholls, Glenn Phillips, and Ish Sodhi. New Zealand is set to play an ODI and T20I series against Ireland and Scotland and a T20I series against the Netherlands.

Ireland vs New Zealand series will witness three ODIs and three T20I games. It will take place from July 10 to July 22. The New Zealand tour of Scotland 2022 will observe two T20I matches and one-off ODI. It is slated to be played from July 27 to 31. The Netherlands vs New Zealand T20I series will see two T20I games on August 4 and 6 respectively.
