Former New Zealand captain Kane Williamson has unveiled his ultimate dream Indian white-ball XI, featuring legendary icons and modern-era superstars. Kane Williamson’s dream white ball XI highlights India’s rich talent that has now gone viral on social media.
Williamson has picked the former explosive opener Virender Sehwag and current aggressive opener Rohit Sharma as his openers. Sehwag, who was famous for his fearless hitting and blistering starts, played a key role in India’s 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup victories.

Williamson added the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar at No. 4 in his dream white ball XI. The legendary batter has played only one T20I for the Men in Blue, but his 18,426 ODI runs remain an unmatched record in the format.
The New Zealander's middle order features the legendary all-rounder Yuvraj Singh at No. 5. Yuvraj has played a key role in the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup. He also won the Player of the Tournament award in 2011. He was one of the greatest all-rounders India has ever produced.
Suryakumar Yadav finds a place in Kane Williamson’s dream Indian white-ball XI
India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav took the No. 6 spot in Williamson’s ultimate dream Indian white-ball XI. Williamson has given the No. 7 spot to the legendary wicketkeeper-batter MS Dhoni, who led India to the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 ODI World Cup, and 2013 Champions Trophy.
Dhoni will provide experience, leadership, and finishing skills to the former New Zealand captain’s dream India XI. For the bowling attack, the Black Caps star picked the current Indian superstars Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah, as well as the legendary fast bowler Zaheer Khan.
Adding balance to the attack, India’s legendary spinner Anil Kumble, the all-time leading ODI wicket-taker with 334 scalps, completes Williamson’s dream India XI in white-ball cricket. Kane picked the team on the Middlesex County Cricket Club’s social media handle.

Meanwhile, Kane Williamson is set to play a key role off the field for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 2026 IPL season. Williamson joined the LSG as the strategic advisor. Alongside him, Carl Crowe has joined the franchise as the spin-bowling coach ahead of the next season.
The Lucknow Super Giants will continue with Justin Langer as the head coach and Bharat Arun as the bowling coach in the upcoming IPL 2026. Notably, Williamson’s experience and insights are expected to strengthen LSG’s planning and on-field strategies ahead of the new season.
