Kedar Jadhav announces retirement from all forms of the game in MS Dhoni style

Kedar Jadhav, on Monday (June 3), announced his retirement from all forms of the game. The right-handed batsman took to Instagram to announce the news to his fans and followers.
The Maharashtra star's career spanned over almost two decades. He made his first-class debut in 2007/08 season. Kedar Jadhav played for Maharashtra in the domestic circuit throughout his career and enjoyed a prolific career with the bat.
He played a total of 87 first-class games and scored 6100 runs with the help of 17 centuries and 23 fifties. The 39-year-old has a first-class triple-century to his name as well. He had played a monumental 327-run knock against Uttar Pradesh in 2012. In the 2013-14 season, he had scored a record 1223 runs including six centuries to help Maharashtra qualify for the Ranji Trophy final for the first time since 1992/93.
Kedar Jadhav's career:
The fine displays in domestic cricket helped him earn an IPL contract as well before he could make his debut for Team India. He started his journey in the IPL in 2010 and hit the ground running in the tournament. In 2010, he played for Delhi Capitals and scored a fine 29-ball 50 on his debut.
He went on to represent the likes of now-defunct Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL as well. Kedar Jadhav had gone unsold in the 2022 and 2023 auction before being roped in by RCB as an injury replacement in IPL 2023. However, he did not play any game that season.
His final appearance in the IPL came in 2021. Overall, Kedar Jadhav played 93 games in the IPL and scored 1196 runs with the help of four half-centuries.
After impressing in the IPL, the middle-order batsman got the chance to represent India as well. He played in both the white-ball formats for Team India between 2014 and 2020. He made his ODI debut in 2014 and T20I debut in 2015. His last ODI appearance came in 2020 while he last played a T20I for India in 2017. Overall, Kedar Jadhav played 73 ODIs and 9 T20Is for India, scoring over 1500 runs including two centuries and 7 fifties.
"Thank you all For your love and support throughout my Career from 1500 hrs. Consider me as retired from all forms of cricket," Kedar Jadhav said in the post, confirming his retirement on Monday.

Notably, Kedar's retirement post was very similar to that of MS Dhoni's as he also posted a similar kind of caption along with a classic Hindi song playing in the background.
