Khaleel Ahmed Bought By Chennai Super Kings For INR 4.80 crore at IPL Auction 2025

Left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at a base price of INR 2 crore. The pacer has represented two teams in the IPL so far - Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals.
His journey in the tournament began in 2018 when he was signed up by the Hyderabad-based outfit. In his first season, Khaleel managed to play only one game. He also made his ODI and T20I debut for Team India in 2018.
In IPL 2019, he played 9 games and picked up an impressive 19 wickets. He picked up 8 wickets in 7 games in IPL 2020 before taking 5 wickets in 7 games in IPL 2021.In the 2022 mega auction, Khaleel was signed up by Delhi Capitals.
The 26-year-old enjoyed a fine first season with the Delhi-based outfit, taking 16 wickets in 10 games. In IPL 2023, Khaleel picked up 9 wickets in 9 games. He had a fine campaign in IPL 2024 as well where he picked up 17 wickets in 14 games.

Chennai Super Kings have signed up Khaleel Ahmed for INR 4.80 crore at IPL 2025 mega auction. Lucknow Super Giants also bid for the player but eventually decided to pull out.
