MI New York extended their perfect record against the Los Angeles Knight Riders with a thrilling final-over victory in Major League Cricket. After the winning runs were scored, Kieron Pollard grabbed attention with a unique on-field celebration that appeared to highlight MI New York's unbeaten 6-0 record in the rivalry.

Los Angeles Knight Riders, led by Jason Holder posted 165 after being asked to bat first, giving their bowlers a competitive total to defend. However, MI New York, led by Nicholas Pooran, held their nerve during the chase and reached 168 runs for 4 wickets in 19.5 overs, sealing another win over their long-time rivals.

Los Angeles Knight Riders Post Competitive Total

After being asked to bat first, the Los Angeles Knight Riders recovered from a slow start to post 165/6 in their 20 overs. Andre Fletcher scored a quick 34 off 26 balls, while Matthew Tromp anchored the innings with 44 off 36 deliveries.

The Knight Riders slipped to 121/5 before Jason Holder changed the momentum with a powerful 43 off 22 balls, including three fours and three sixes. Rovman Powell added 23, while Sunil Narine remained unbeaten on 8 to help the team finish strongly.

For MI New York, Corbin Bosch was the standout bowler with figures of 3/19 in four overs. Rushil Ugarkar also picked up three wickets, while Trent Boult kept things tight by conceding just 28 runs from his four-over spell.

Sunil Narine Keeps MI New York Under Pressure

MI New York made a poor start to the chase after Quinton de Kock was dismissed for a duck in the second over. Monank Patel scored 32 off 29 balls, while captain Nicholas Pooran managed 16, but the run rate continued to rise.

The Los Angeles Knight Riders bowlers kept the pressure on with regular wickets. Sunil Narine bowled an outstanding spell, conceding just seven runs in his four overs without taking a wicket. At the halfway stage, MI New York were 55/2, and after Tajinder Dhillon's dismissal, they slipped to 80/4 in the 12th over.

Despite not taking a wicket, Narine's economical spell played a key role in keeping the Knight Riders in control for most of the chase.

Kieron Pollard's "6-0" Celebration Goes Viral

Kieron Pollard once again showed his finishing ability with an unbeaten 63 off 35 balls, hitting six fours and two sixes. Corey Anderson provided excellent support with 37 not out off 24 balls, as the pair added an unbeaten 88-run partnership for the fifth wicket.

MI New York needed six runs from the final two balls. Corey Anderson sealed the victory by smashing a six over long-on, helping his side reach 168/4 with one ball to spare.

Moments after the winning shot, Pollard celebrated by kneeling on the pitch and writing "6-0" with his finger, highlighting MI New York's unbeaten record against the Los Angeles Knight Riders.

MI New York Captain Nicholas Pooran expressed immense satisfaction following the victory. "Yeah, I'm very happy. Obviously, winning the toss today and batting second after quite a while was good," Pooran stated.
