The crowd at the Greenfield Stadium was on its feet as the Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli registered his 55th ODI hundred tonight against the West Indies National Cricket Team in the first ODI of the ongoing three-match series.
In the lead-up to the 2027 ODI World Cup, when questions were raised about some of the senior cricketers because of their ages, Virat Kohli, again, proved that class is permanent and age is just a number. On the fourth ball of the 38th over, Kohli smashed the West Indies spinner Gudakesh Motie for a six over long-on. According to the on-air commentators, this is the first time that Kohli has reached his century with a six.

Virat needed only 74 balls to complete his 55th ODI hundred. His batting partner, Shubman Gill, the India captain, also claimed his ODI hundred in tonight's run chase against the West Indies cricket team.
