Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will be up against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 68th game of the ongoing IPL 2025. The SRH vs KKR match is scheduled to be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Sunday (May 25).
The match will bring an end to KKR's disappointing campaign in IPL 2025. The reigning champions failed miserably in their quest to become only the third team to defend the IPL title. They hardly looked in contention to qualify for the playoffs this year as they struggled for consistency throughout the season.
With 12 points from 13 games, KKR are currently languishing at the 7th spot in the points table. They will be keen to win the upcoming game and end their campaign on a positive note. As KKR gear up for the contest, we are taking a look at the KKR Playing 11.
KKR Playing 11 vs SRH- IPL 2025, Match 68:
Openers: Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk), Sunil Narine
Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Sunil Narine are set to be the openers in the KKR Playing 11 for the upcoming game. The onus will be on the duo to give their team a good start with the bat. Gurbaz has been playing some impressive shots but is yet to convert a start into a big score.
In 5 innings so far, the Afghan star has managed a modest 74 runs and will look to score big against SRH. Narine has also been getting the starts regularly but has yet to play a big knock. The southpaw has scored 215 runs in 11 innings so far.
Middle-order batsmen: Ajinkya Rahane (c), Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Manish Pandey/Venkatesh Iyer, Andre Russell, Rinku Singh, Ramandeep Singh
Captain Ajinkya Rahane has been a consistent performer with the bat for KKR this season. The right-handed batsman will be looking to lead the team from the front once again. With 375 runs from 12 games, Rahane is KKR's leading run-scorer in IPL 2025.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi has been one of the very few positives in an otherwise disappointing campaign for the reigning champions. The youngster has shown that he can be the future star for KKR by delivering in pressure situations. He will be looking to end his campaign on a high.
One between Manish Pandey and Venkatesh Iyer is likely to be a part of the KKR Playing 11 for the upcoming game. Pandey replaced Iyer in the KKR Playing 11 for their last game and will be hoping to get another chance. On the other hand, Iyer will be desperate to score big if he returns to the playing 11.
The likes of Rinku Singh and Ramandeep Singh have also not managed to deliver on the expected lines this season. Both of them will be keen to end the season on a high. Andre Russell is set to be one of the key all-rounders in the KKR Playing 11. The West Indies star has regained his form with the bat in recent games and will look to make an impact again.
Bowlers: Vaibhav Arora, Varun Chakaravarthy, Harshit Rana
Vaibhav Arora and Harshit Rana are expected to be the two pacers in the KKR Playing 11 while Varun Chakravarthy is likely to lead the spin attack. KKR can also use left-arm spinner Anukul Roy as an Impact Player.
