KKR vs DC: Revealed - Who are the impact players nominated by KKR and DC for match 47 of IPL 2024

The 47th match of the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) is seeing the high-voltage clash between Shreyas Iyer-led Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals (DC). The match is being hosted by the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Monday, April 29.

The Knight Riders started off as one of the most dominant teams in the ongoing edition of the competition along with Rajasthan Royals (RR), but in the last few matches, their performance has gone downhill. They haven't been able to dominate like the Royals, who sit at the top with 16 points in just 9 games, and out of their last 5 matches, they have lost 3, which indicates that the ride for the two-time IPL champions hasn't been smooth.

Focusing on the defeats, they lost against CSK, RR, and PBKS by 7, 2, and 8 wickets respectively. The defeat against Punjab Kings was the one that hurt the team most as they allowed the Sam Curran-led side to chase down the biggest-ever total in T20 cricket history - 262. Despite a defeat in their last match, KKR comfortably sit at the second spot on the points table with 10 points under their belt.

Talking about Delhi Capitals, they have been completely opposite to KKR as after a poor start in the competition they have bounced back strong and have won four out of the last five matches. 

Delhi Capitals have started to gain momentum as both their batting and bowling units have started to fire at the perfect time. Currently, they sit at the 6th spot on the points table with 5 wins and 5 losses from 10 matches.

Delhi Capitals won the toss and chose to bat first in the match. At the toss, Rishabh Pant said that the surface looks on the slower side and revealed about two major changes to their playing XI. Rishabh Pant stated:

"We'll bat first. The way our team is poised, would look to put a score on the board. Wicket looks slightly on the slower side. Shaw comes back, Kushagra misses out. Rasikh Dar starts in place of Mukesh I guess. Talk is to take one match at the time."

Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer said that they were anyways looking to bowl first in the match and he revealed that KKR have also made two changes to their team. Shreyas Iyer elaborated:

"We were looking to bowl first. Rishabh and I were having a chat - he said 'we're looking to bat' and I said we're looking to bowl. We're trying to keep things as simple as possible. When you lose a game like that, scoring 260, it's easy for people to go away from each other and backbite. But we're keeping everyone together. Starc and Vaibhav Arora are back."
