Fans on Twitter reacted after Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. They defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight wickets in the summit clash at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai and claimed their third title in the league.

Sunrisers Hyderabad had a torrid outing with the bat. Abhishek Sharma (2) was the first wicket to perish as Mitchell Starc yet against wreaking havoc with the ball with the new ball. The left-arm pacer also removed Rahul Tripathi (9)

Vaibhav Arora sent Travis Head packing for a golden duck as Sunrisers Hyderabad lost three wickets inside the powerplay. After that Kolkata Knight Riders bowlers cashed on the start that they got and picked wickets in quick succession of time.

Aiden Markram (20) tried to up the ante but couldn’t. In the end, skipper Pat Cummins (24) came up with a fighting knock as Sunrisers Hyderabad ended the innings on 113 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

For Kolkata Knight Riders, Andre Russell was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of three for 19. Apart from him, Mitchell Starc and Harshit Rana chipped in with two wickets each. Vaibhav Arora, Varun Chakravarthy, and Sunil Narine claimed one wicket each.

In the chase, Kolkata Knight Riders lost Sunil Narine lost his wicket early as he got out after six. But after that, Venkatesh Iyer (52*) came out all guns blazing and carried his good form. He continued from where he left off in the Qualifier 1 and slammed a vital half-century.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz (39) supported him well as the duo added 91 runs for the second wicket to take the team close to the target. In the end, it was Shreyas Iyer (6*), who played a crucial hand and took his team to the third title win in the league.
