Sarfaraz Khan finally justified his position in the Indian Test team by scoring a magnificent hundred at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. This was the youngster's maiden Test hundred and probably the biggest moment of his cricketing career so far.

His innings was filled with full of enterprising strokes as he used his class to pepper every area of the ground. While most of his shots were behind the wicket, Sarfaraz showed tremendous composure throughout his innings.

Sarfaraz showed intent right from the time he came out to bat. He kept on playing the attacking shots and did not allow the spinners to settle down through an array of sweeps and slog sweeps.

Twitter was buzzing after his maiden international hundred and congratulated him for the massive achievement. Former cricketers like Sanjay Manjrekar and Ian Bishop too congratulated the youngster on this achievement.

Brilliant partnership between Kohli and Sarfaraz

It was an innings full of entertainment from Sarfaraz. He came in to bat when India had just lost Rohit Sharma and the score was 95-2. The Men in Blue had a mountain to climb but Sarfaraz played his natural game and put New Zealand bowlers under pressure.

His partnership with Virat Kohli on Day 3 bailed India out of trouble. Despite Kohli getting out of the last ball on the secon day, Sarfaraz continued his innings and went on to smash a memorable hundred.
