Team India wicketkeeper-batter and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain KL Rahul has won a million hearts with his kind actions off the field. Rahul has provided financial support to 20-year-old student Amrut Mavinakatti, a resident of Mahalingapura in Bagalkote district, to continue his education.

Amrut Mavinakatti received crucial support from the cricketer last year. The Indian cricketer supported Amrut to pursue his first-year B.Com. studies at KLE Technological University in Hubballi. Rahul has committed to covering Mavinakatti's educational expenses, allowing him to continue his studies.

Talking about Rahul, his career has been marred by injuries over the past year. He was sidelined from action for a few months after suffering a hamstring injury during the IPL 2023 season. The right-handed batter returned to action during the Asia Cup 2023 and became a regular part of the India squad.

He was ruled out of the home Test series against England in January due to pain in his right quadriceps. The middle-order batter went on to miss the reminder of the series, where the India team won by a 4-1 margin. He made his return to competitive cricket during IPL 2024, where he led the LSG team.

The 32-year-old cricketer rejoined the Indian team for the Sri Lanka tour in July-August. He then played in the opening match of the Duleep Trophy 2024 season. Rahul was last seen in action during the 2-0 Test series victory over Bangladesh at home, where he scored 106 runs across three innings.
