KL Rahul hints at MS Dhoni’s presence in India vs South Africa Ranchi ODI

Indian stand-in skipper KL Rahul has revealed in the press conference that he and his teammates would look to MS Dhoni to make an appearance during the First ODI in Ranchi. He also hoped to make the crowd and MS Dhoni happy with their performance.
The India national cricket team has arrived in Ranchi and will be taking on the South African side for a three-match ODI series to avenge their humiliating defeat in the longest format of the game.
The series begins with Ranchi hosting the first match on the 30th of November, Sunday, and then it will be followed by the second match in Raipur to be played on the 3rd of December, and the final match of the series in Vishakhapatnam on the 6th of December.
KL Rahul lauds MS Dhoni as India turn to Ranchi for ODI series opener
KL Rahul was handed India's ODI captaincy due to the absence of Shubman Gill from the team following a neck spasm. Stand-in skipper KL Rahul, alongside his team, is preparing to erase the memories of the humiliating Test series defeat from the minds of the Indians.
During a recent press conference, he opined about the former Indian captain and the hometown boy of Ranchi, MS Dhoni. Even KL Rahul once made his debut for India under MS Dhoni and started off with a maiden hundred.
In the press conference, Rahul kept praising the former skipper and Ranchi's favourite son, as he said that Dhoni has been the inspiration to many of his generation and even the ones who came before him.
“We all played under him [Dhoni]. We all have been his fans. We all played together. We are all friends. To know someone like MS is a very happy opportunity to know someone as big as MS and someone so successful as an Indian player,” Rahul told reporters on Saturday.

The paparazzi will never let the celebrities keep anything personal in their lives, as former Indian all-format cricketer and veteran run-scorer in ODIs, Virat Kohli, was spotted alongside MS Dhoni as the legend drove him back to the Team Hotel.
On Thursday night, MS Dhoni was seen behind the wheel as he drove Kohli back after a dinner at his Ranchi house. Wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant was also in the same car, and this was confirmed by a small clip of MS Dhoni's SUV on social media.
However, Rohit Sharma was not spotted alongside them as they reminisced about good old times and days during the golden era of Indian cricket, with these two being the apical torchbearers.

KL Rahul looked positive about MS Dhoni making it to the JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi, since he is now in his house in Ranchi. This was the very ground MSD played his final home ODI in, against Australia back in 2019.
“We all respected him as a human being. If he comes to watch the match, along with the crowd, we will get more excited. Hopefully, we can win the game, put up a good performance and entertain the crowd. MS Dhoni will also feel happy that we won the game,” remarked Rahul.
