Former coach Sanjay Bangar warned Delhi Capitals (DC) batter KL Rahul about a potential act of revenge from Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batter Virat Kohli. Bangar said that Kohli might respond to Rahul's "Who's the boss" celebration with a similar gesture at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in the IPL 2025 clash.

Royal Challengers Bangalore will face Delhi Capitals in Match 46 of IPL 2025 on Sunday, April 27, in Delhi. KL Rahul played a crucial role in DC's six-wicket victory in the last match between the two teams on April 10 in Bengaluru. He scored an unbeaten 93 off 53 balls and celebrated the win with a "Kantara" gesture.

Virat Kohli, known for his fiery response to critics and opposition, has mastered the art of giving it back in style throughout his illustrious career.

Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore have earned 12 points and are ranked second and third in the IPL 2025 points table. They're trailing Gujarat Titans, who have the same number of points but a superior net run rate.

Virat Kohli Would Do a Little Bit Differently - Sanjay Bangar

Sanjay Bangar pointed out that the Arun Jaitley Stadium is Kohli's home ground, and it even has the 'Virat Kohli Pavilion.' Bangar added that Kohli’s response would likely differ from Rahul's in the upcoming match.

"I think Virat would do a little bit differently. I think he will show that 'OK, that pavilion in which you're sitting, it's mine'. Who's the boss? Virat is the boss there," Bangar said on Star Sports.

KL Rahul has been a top performer for Delhi this season, scoring 323 runs from seven matches. He has scored three half-centuries, with his best score of an unbeaten 93 runs in the previous match against RCB.

Virat Kohli is Currently the Second-Highest Run-Scorer in IPL 2025

Virat Kohli is currently the second-highest run-scorer in IPL 2025, with 392 runs from nine innings at an average of 65.33 and a strike rate of 144.11. He has smashed five half-centuries, all in winning causes.

If Kohli scores 26 more runs in his upcoming match against Delhi, he will claim the Orange Cap for the first time this season, surpassing Gujarat Titans' (GT) Sai Sudharsan, who leads with 417 runs at an impressive average of 52.13 and a strike rate of 152.18.

However, Kohli's primary focus is on securing a victory for the Royal Challengers in their match against second-placed Delhi Capitals. A win could push RCB to the top of the points table and also bring them closer to a playoff spot in the T20 tournament.
