KS Bharat has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 75 lakh. A wicketkeeper-batsman, the 31-year-old was a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders squad last season.
In 2015, KS Bharat caught the attention of the Indian cricket fraternity after becoming the first wicketkeeper-batsman to score a triple-century in the Ranji Trophy. In the same year, he was bought by Delhi Capitals in an auction. However, the right-handed batsman did not play any games and was released ahead of the next season.
After a gap of six years, he finally earned another IPL contract in 2021 when he was signed up by Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Bharat played 8 games in IPL 2021 and scored 191 runs including a fifty. During the game against Delhi Capitals, he also hit a last-ball six to take his team home.
Later in 2022, he was bought by Delhi Capitals. However, he once again failed to get a game in the Delhi-based franchise and was released before the next season. For the 2023 season, he was a part of the Gujarat Titans squad before joining Kolkata Knight Riders for IPL 2024.
