Only four days ago, there were website articles and video content across social media platforms describing Kuldeep Yadav's first-ever County Championship match for the Yorkshire cricket team. In his first match, the India National Cricket Team spinner did not bowl a single over in either innings of the match.
In the second match, Kuldeep Yadav ended a match with Yorkshire, claiming ten wickets and his career-best First-Class cricket bowling figure. This is how the ace Indian spinner replied to those who showed doubts over his credibility.
Kuldeep Yadav's spells take Yorkshire in-flight County Championship
Despite years of experience and an essential skill set, the Indian team management continued to bench Kuldeep Yadav in multiple high-profile matches. He remained on the bench throughout India's away series against England. The stint with Yorkshire is considered crucial, as by performing on English soil, the spinner could regain the trust of the team management in the lead-up to the 2027 ODI World Cup.
With the 10-fer of Kuldeep Yadav, Yorkshire managed to win the match over Essex with ease, by an innings and 106 runs. The emphatic win will see Yorkshire in the top-flight of the Rothesay County Championship in the future.

Kuldeep finished his bowling spell in the first innings taking 4 wickets, and took 6 wickets in the following innings to complete his 10-wicket haul in the First Class match. In the second innings, he could have claimed a hat-trick as well, as he took two back-to-back wickets at the Headingley cricket ground. In back-to-back deliveries, Kuldeep took the wickets of Charles William James Allison and Matt Critchley.
While the top batting order of Essex was dismantled by George Hill and Dom Bess, the Indian spinner ran over the middle order of the opposing team. In front of the fiery bowling spell of Yorkshire, Essex lost all of their wickets for 171 and 113 runs in the first innings and second innings of the match. The first innings total of 390 set by Headingley proved enough to win the match.
"I started, and my first couple of balls were really good, and then I tried to mix it up with my variations. I thought the ball which I bowled to Walter was a very good one, slid on and a bit quicker through the air. Then Westley’s ball was my ball of the day," Yadav said to the Yorkshire media.

In the first innings of Essex, Kuldeep clinched opener Paul Walter and Essex skipper Tom Westley in short intervals. Both of the deliveries were crafted beautifully by the wrist spinner, but he chose the delivery against Westley as his favorite.
The England pitches are mostly known for their seam-friendly nature. But Kuldeep proved that quality needs no boundary to prove itself. On the fifth delivery of the 13th over of Essex's first innings, the spinner pitched the ball well outside the off-stump, which turned sharply into the batter and took the middle stump off.
