Former Gujarat captain Priyank Panchal criticized Kyle Jamieson for his send-off to Vaibhav Sooryavanshi during the IPL 2026 match. Panchal called the behaviour unnecessary and said such reactions should be avoided, especially when dealing with young players in high-pressure matches at this level in modern cricket.
Delhi Capitals (DC) chased 226 runs to win by seven wickets in 19.1 overs against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Friday, May 1. Mitchell Starc took three wickets on his return, while Jamieson removed Sooryavanshi early, helping control the powerplay phase and setting the tone in the match.

Impact and Fear Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Has Instilled - Priyank Panchal Slams Kyle Jamieson
Priyank Panchal said that Jamieson acted unprofessionally with his aggressive send-off to Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. Panchal shared his views on X and said that the moment also showed the fear and impact Sooryavanshi has already created among international bowlers.
“31-year-old Kyle Jamieson giving a 15-year-old kid a send-off after dismissing him. Does not make for a pretty sight. But also shows how much of an impact and fear Vaibhav has instilled amongst the opponents already,” Panchal posted on his X account.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Dismissed Early Against Delhi Capitals

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi had a rare failure against the Delhi Capitals when Kyle Jamieson dismissed him for 4 in the second over. After Sooryavanshi hit a boundary on the first ball, Jamieson bowled him on the next delivery and celebrated with claps and a direct send-off.

Sooryavanshi reached his second IPL century in 36 balls. He also became the fastest player in the world to reach 1000 T20 runs, achieving the milestone in just 473 deliveries.
