Let's laugh at Pakistan: Babar Azam-starrer team brutally trolled as Bangladesh register historic Test win in Rawalpindi

Bangladesh, on Sunday (August 25), thrashed Pakistan by 10 wickets in the first Test of the ongoing two-match series to register a historic win. It is Bangladesh's first-ever win over Pakistan in Tests.
Before the recently concluded Test in Rawalpindi, Pakistan and Bangladesh had played 13 Tests against each other. Of the 13 Tests, Pakistan had won 12 while one ended in a draw. Bangladesh had lost their first eight Tests against Pakistan before drawing the ninth Test in Khulna in 2015. It was followed by four more defeats.
However, the past record and reputation made little difference in Rawalpindi as Bangladesh registered one of the most famous wins in their Test history. With both the teams scoring big in their first innings, it looked like the match would end in a draw.
However, Bangladesh's bowlers had other ideas. They came up with a brilliant effort on the final day to bowl out Pakistan for just 146 runs to put their team on the verge of a historic victory. 146 is also the lowest innings total against Bangladesh in Tests.
Earlier in the Test, Pakistan declared their first innings on 448 for 6. The hosts were reeling at 16 for 3 at one stage but centuries from Mohammad Rizwan (171*) and Saud Shakeel (141) helped them recover and post a big total.
In reply, Bangladesh finished their innings on 565 runs to take a handy lead of 117 runs. The star of the show was their former captain Mushfiqur Rahim who scored 191 runs. The likes of Shadman Islam (93), Mominul Haque (50), Litton Das (56), and Mehidy Hasan Miraz (77) also played crucial knocks as well to put their team in a strong position.
Bangladesh thrash Pakistan to take a lead in the series:
At the end of the fourth day, Pakistan were on 23 for 1. Although Bangladesh had a good lead, not many were expecting Pakistan to lose the game. However, the tourists came up with a brilliant display with the ball to create history.
Bangladesh picked up as many as five wickets in the first session to leave Pakistan reeling at 105 for 6 before the lunch break. Pakistan could add only 41 more runs before being all out for 146 runs to set Bangladesh a target of 30 runs. Mehidy and Shakib Al Hasan made the difference with the ball for Bangladesh, taking 4 and 3 wickets respectively. Chasing 30, Bangladesh chased down the total inside 7 overs without losing any wickets.
Here is how Twitter reacted to Bangladesh's historic win over Pakistan:
That Pakistan were so confident of going all-pace in a Test where Shakib and Mehidy take seven wickets on Day 5 must rank as an all-time failure of getting the basics in Asia right. #PAKvsBAN

Pakistan cricket going from bad to worse - playing four pacers on a home pitch where their own batsmen have fallen to Bangladesh spinners was a dumb choice; and a striking result. A reflection also of the leadership aspirations creating groups within the ‘team’ #PAKvsBAN

Being eliminated at the first stage of the ODI WC, losing a T20 to some tech guys in the USA and then a Test at home to Bangladesh having declared the first innings could be the greatest hattrick in the history of Pakistan cricket.

I thought losing to USA would be the lowest moment in our cricketing history. But losing a test match at home to Bangladesh is definitely the lowest. Well done Pakistan. You are losing thousands of fans everytime you play👏☠️ #PAKvBAN #PakistanCricket

Precarious to see Pakistan’s planning & execution in the Test. On the contrary, Bangladesh seemed much better equipped to play red ball cricket.

Picking up 4 fast bowlers, misreading the pitch, seeing them bowl 117.3 overs in addition to 50 from the non regular spinners.
Such…
The Rawalpindi crowd, for their part, have cheered Bangladesh at the end of the Pakistan innings. It was a nice touch.#PAKvsBAN

One of the special things about Pakistan cricket is that when you play against them, you don't need to do anything extra, they find a way to lose the match by themselves.

What a moment for Bangladesh. So much happening back home. Flood after the students revolution. What a wonderful time to be a Bangladeshi. Resilience and courage.

Another humiliating and dark day for Pakistan cricket. Recently lost to USA in the T20 World Cup and today they lose to Bangladesh in Test cricket #PAKvsBAN #Cricket
