England star Liam Livingstone has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at a base price of INR 2 crore. The right-handed batsman is one of the most sought-after T20 batters in the world and is expected to earn a lucrative contract in the auction.
Livingstone's journey in the IPL began in 2019 when he was signed up by Rajasthan Royals. He stayed with the franchise for two seasons, scoring a modest 112 runs. In the 2022 mega auction, the England cricketer was signed up by the Punjab Kings.
In his first season with the Punjab-based outfit, Livingstone enjoyed a brilliant season with the bat, scoring 437 runs with the help of 4 fifties. He also picked up 6 wickets that season. In the following two seasons, Livingstone scored 279 and 111 runs.
Even though Livingstone has done well in the shortest format of the game across the world, he has not really managed to live up to the expectations in IPL. He will be hoping to turn things around in IPL 2025.
