India National Cricket Team young batsman Shubman Gill gave a blunt reply to a reporter when asked about being under pressure while batting at No.3 in Test cricket.
Shubman Gill, in his sharp response, told the journalist that he doesn't feel any kind of pressure as he has been having a great run for India National Cricket Team since taking up the new role.
Shubman Gill shines for India in Mumbai Test
The 25-year-old batsman emerged as the top performer with the bat in India's first innings at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Gill looked in terrific touch with the bat and helped his team register a good score.
Shubman Gill was involved in four pivotal partnerships in the innings that helped India take the lead in the match. He first stitched together 53 runs with Yashasvi Jaiswal, before being involved in an amazing 96-run stand with the wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant.
The batter was not done there as he went on to add two more partnerships of 23 runs each with Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar, which took India's total to 263.
However, Gill suffered a massive heartbreak as he missed out on a well-deserved century by 10 runs. He scored 90 runs off 146 balls, with 7 fours and 1 six.

Like me, personally? I think I have been having a great year - Shubman Gill
Shubman Gill was sent to address the media after the play on day 2, and he was asked a bold question by a reporter.
"Ever since you have moved to the No.3 position, is there pressure on you jab runs nahi bante (when the runs don't come)? What's the mindset then?" asked the journalist.
In his response, Gill was very blunt as he stated that he has been having a good time and is not under pressure. He said:
"Like me, personally? I think I have been having a great year. I played the last Test, I got two starts, I was not able to convert, that is a different thing. But I was very confident going into this innings, I had no pressure on me."
Yeah, the conversation was, actually we were just having fun in the middle - Shubman Gill on Rishabh Pant
Gill further spoke about his discussions with Rishabh Pant to unsettle the New Zealand bowlers with their aggressive game.
"I think when you put the bowlers under pressure, it's difficult for them to bowl in that area consistently and that's what we talked about. I think the way Rishabh came in and started hitting those boundaries, in that particular session they were not very consistent with their line and length, so that's why we were able to cash in," said Gill.
"Yeah, the conversation was, actually we were just having fun in the middle and like I said it was all about trying to put them under pressure because then like I said it's difficult if we are playing our shots, then it's difficult for the bowlers to be able to bowl in that area consistently and we have seen if the bowlers are bowling in the area where it's difficult to defend in that area consistently, then it's hard for the bowlers to be able to contain runs," he added.
