Lucknow Super Giants takes on Mumbai Indians in match 48 of IPL 2024 in Lucknow on Tuesday, April 30. They are hosting other teams at the moment and it is MI who play next.

LSG are fresh off their defeat to Rajasthan Royals at home. The Royals chased the target of 196 with an over to spare. This latest defeat at home came as a shock to LSG purely because of how The Royals dominated the LSG bowlers.

However, the Super Giants now have a quick turnaround and they are playing against a team whom they have dominated in the IPL. LSG have won three out of the four games against MI. KL Raul has scored centuries in two of those games back to back in 2022.

LSG can look forward to making a few changes for this game. With Quinton de Kock not in great form, they caN look to bring in Kyle Mayers who is a batting all-rounder and can give a few overs as well. They can also look to play Shamar Joseph in place of Matt Henry. LSG are waiting for Mayank Yadav's return to the playing XI as well.

KL Rahul (C/WK)

KL Rahul will continue to open the batting for LSG. He scored 76 off 48 balls against RR at a strike rate of over 260. Rahul has now scored 378 runs from nine games for LSG.

Quinton de Kock / Kyle Mayers

LSG can look to replace de Kock with Kyle Mayers. The West Indies opener is yet to play a game this season. De Kock on the other hand has not been consistent for the Super Giants.

Marcus Stoinis

Stoinis is being promoted to three by LSG since his match-winning knock against CSK. After his century against CSK, he scored a duck against RR. Stoinis' 124 remains the highest score in a chase.

Deepak Hooda

Hooda will slot in at four. He scored 50 off 31 balls against RR. LSG have tried several players at number four with Hooda finally solving their problem.

Nicholas Pooran

Pooran will slot in at five. He has been the enforcer in the middle-order for LSG. He has scored 291 runs for the franchise this season scoring at a strike rate of close to 200.

Ayush Badoni

Badoni will slot in at six. He has played a few love-cous cameos for LSG with the bat and has batted at several positions in the batting-order. He scored 11 against RR.

Krunal Pandya

Pandya will slot in at seven. He is doing a good job with the ball and has picked up. He went wicketless against LSG. He has bowled economical overs allowing the other bowlers to pick up wickets.

Ravi Bishnoi

Bishnoi can slot in at eight. He has picked up five wickets from nine games and has conceded runs at an average of 45. He needs to be back taking wickets for LSG.

 Mohsin Khan

Mohsin Khan will slot in at nine. He has been good with his left-arm swing bowling. He was expensive in the last game going for 52 runs. The left-arm pacer has picked up seven wickets in six games.

 Yash Thakur

Thakur should be the second Indian seamer in the XI. He has taken a fifer in this IPL. He took the wicket of Jos Buttler in the last game. So far this season he has picked up 10 wickets.

Shamar Joseph

Joseph can replace Matt Henry in the XI and conclude the likely playing XI for LSG. His express pace might pose problems against the top-order batters for MI. He played just one game this season.

Impact Sub- Amit Mishra

Amit Mishra was the Impact sub for LSG in the last match. They might stick to this strategy for a few games in the remaining games. The veteran pacer has picked up 174 wickets in 162 IPL games.
