Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will be up against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the 59th match of IPL 2025. This article provides details about LSG's Playing 11 vs RCB for match 59 of IPL 2025.
LSG Playing 11 vs RCB- IPL 2025, Match 59:
Openers: Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh
Aiden Markram will open the innings for Lucknow Super Giants along with Mitchell Marsh. The South African batter will look to put on a solid performance and guide the team to a win in an important clash against RCB.
Mitchell Marsh, on the other hand, hasn't been in the best of form in the second half of the tournament, and Lucknow Super Giants' management would want the Australian all-rounder to pick up form.
Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Nicholas Pooran, Ayush Badoni, Rishabh Pant (c/wk), David Miller, Abdul Samad
The opening duo will be followed by Nicholas Pooran, who, like Marsh, has blown cold in the last few matches. The Rishabh Pant-led side would hope for Pooran to get back among the runs.
Lucknow Super Giants would also wish for their captain, Rishabh Pant, and David Miller to make a decisive contribution while batting at crucial positions in the middle order.
One of the biggest positives for LSG would be the form of Ayush Badoni, who is the third-highest run scorer for the team in the history of IPL after KL Rahul and Nicholas Pooran.
Badoni has been a shining light in an otherwise out-of-form batting lineup and has received good support from Abdul Samad, who has also made valuable contributions lower down the order.
Bowlers: Mayank Yadav, Avesh Khan, Akash Singh, Digvesh Singh Rathi, Prince Yadav
LSG, who were able to snatch victories from the jaws of defeat in a couple of matches in the ongoing season, have looked under pressure in the last three games.
One of the reasons for Lucknow Super Giants' underwhelming performance has been the lack of experience in the bowling department, with the likes of Prince Yadav and Mayank Yadav being part of a young bowling group.
Prince Yadav, who has impressed everyone with his ability to bowl yorkers accurately in the death overs, hasn't been able to stem the flow of runs in the last three matches.
Other than Prince Yadav, Speedstar Mayank Yadav, who is returning after a long injury layoff, hasn't been able to bowl at full tilt and was visibly trying to gather his rhythm in the last two matches.
Akash Singh, who played his first match of the season against PBKS, was the pick of the bowlers for LSG as he picked up three wickets and gave the team a chance of putting the batters under pressure.
On the other hand, Avesh Khan, who is the most experienced bowler in LSG's lineup, was all over the place in the last match, and it appeared like he didn't have a backup plan.
Lucknow Super Giants would expect Digvesh Singh Rathi, the only in-form bowler in the team, to pick wickets in the middle overs for them to have any chance of breaking the string of losses.
