Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Nicholas Pooran, Ayush Badoni, Rishabh Pant (c/wk), David Miller, Abdul Samad

The opening pair will be followed by experienced batters Nicholas Pooran and Rishabh Pant, both of whom are struggling to find form. Rishabh, in particular, has looked out of touch.

It appeared that Pant was also unhappy with the performance of his team's bowling lineup, which might have transpired from his performances in the ongoing season.

Like Pant Lucknow Super Giants' second wicket-keeper batter Nicholas Pooran has failed to make a significant contribution, especially in the second half of the tournament

The trio of Pant, Pooran, and Miller has been a cause of concern for the Super Giants with regard to their form.

Having said that, the Lucknow Super Giants management would be elated by the performance of Ayush Badoni and Abdul Samad, as the young batters have been able to guide the team to respectable totals.

Bowlers: Akash Deep, Avesh Khan, Akash Singh, Digvesh Singh Rathi, Prince Yadav

LSG has dealt a major blow as fast bowler Mayank Yadav has been ruled out of this year's tournament and has been replaced by New Zealand pacer William O'Rourke.

LSG might be tempted to bring in Ravi Bishnoi in the playing XI in place of Mayank Yadav for the clash against SRH, given the nature of the Ekana's surface.

One of the shining lights in a disappointing bowling performance has been Prince Yadav, who has impressed everyone with his ability to bowl fast and accurate yorkers.

Other than Prince Yadav, Aakash Singh also bowled well in the only outing he has had in the competition so far against the Punjab Kings, as the fast bowler picked up three wickets.

Another experienced player who hasn't been able to justify his selection in the last few games is Avesh Khan, who has failed to deliver consistently, having bowled match-winning spells against MI and RR.

As far as LSG's spin bowling department is concerned, the Rishabh Pant-led side would depend a lot on Digvesh Rathi, who has become the leading spinner of the team.

The team would also hope for a better effort with the ball from Ravi Bishnoi, who happens to be the most experienced spinner in LSG's lineup.
