Ramandeep Singh, on Sunday (May 5), pulled off one of the best catches in the history of the Indian Premier League to send back Arshin Kulkarni in the ongoing game between Lucknow Super Giants and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.

The young batsman opened the innings with captain KL Rahul and started on a positive note by hitting two fours. However, his innings came to an end in the very second over thanks to the stunner from Ramandeep Singh. On the final ball of the over, Starc bowled a length ball and Kulkarni tried to flick it.

However, the right-handed batsman ended up skying the ball on the offside. The ball was looking destined to land safely well behind Ramandeep Singh who was fielding at cover. However, the KKR star had other plans. He charged towards the ball, and covered a good distance while running back before making a full-length dive to take a two-handed stunner.

Talking about the game, LSG were on 39 for 1 in the 4th over at the time of writing this report. Rahul and Marcus Stoinis were battling in the middle for the hosts. Earlier in the game, KKR piled up a huge total of 235 for 6 in the allotted 20 overs thanks to Sunil Narine's blazing knock.

The in-form KKR star laid the foundation for the big total by smashing 81 runs off 39 balls. Ramandeep Singh made a big impact with the bat as well. He smashed an unbeaten 25 runs off just six balls with the help of one four and three sixes to help KKR post a 230-plus total.

"It’s a good score but to be honest I can’t tell you what’s a good score in this IPL. It’s red soil, it’s a bit like Bombay, there’s good bounce on it. Sunny was timing them really well, my role was to pass it onto him, it was so much fun to bat with him," said Angkrish Raghuvanshi after the innings.

"It was just about keeping the momentum going as we knew we had some big names finishing the game. There’s absolutely no dew. Records are meant to be broken but our bowlers are in tremendous form so I feel we will win this one," added the KKR batter who scored 32 runs.
