“Main Khud Hi Ghar Gaya Tha, Kisi Ne Nikaala Nahi” – Aaqib Javed Comes Up With A Reply To Wasim Akram's “Main Isko Bilkul Hi Nahi Khelne Deta” Remark

Former Pakistan National Cricket Team pacer Aaqib Javed has come up with a strong response to former Pakistan National Cricket Team captain Wasim Akram’s “main isko bilkul hi nahi khelne deta” remark.
Javed, who made his Test debut at the age of 16 against New Zealand in 1989, was a supremely talented player, but he was in and out of the side too much and made more of an impact as an ODI player. He bagged 54 Test wickets in 22 games and 182 ODI wickets in 163 games.

Javed’s career ended amid the acrimony of Pakistan’s match-fixing crisis in the late 1990s. However, he was widely seen as one of the clean players. Over the years, Javed levied serious allegations with regard to fixing. Also, in 2020, he alleged Wasim Akram for keeping him out of the team when he was the captain after he refused to fix matches.
During a discussion on a Pakistan television show, the legendary pacer Akram responded strongly to Javed’s allegations and said:
“Main ispe ye kahunga ki agar mujhe pata hota na pehle, main bilkul hi nahi khelne deta. 20 saal ho gaye retire hue, kuch bhi aake bole jaate hain, koi chup kara do inko. Sunta rehta hu main inki ye bongiyaan (I’ll only say that if I knew this earlier, I would have never let him play. It has been 20 years since he’s retired and yet they say such nonsense things. Someone please shut them up a little. I keep hearing such crass things from them).”
Khelna khilaana toh kismat ki baatein hain – Aaqib Javed
A clip of Akram’s comments on Javed was reposted by the channel earlier this week, which prompted a journalist to get a reaction from Aaqib Javed over this matter. In a video posted by Pakistan journalist Hafiz Mohammad Imran on his YouTube channel, Javed said:
“Dekhiye, khelna khilaana toh kismat ki baatein hain. Khel liya jitna khelna tha, lekin shukar hai ki khud chhodke, with big positive reason, main khud hi ghar gaya tha. Kisi ne nikaala nahi tha (See, getting a chance to play is not in your hands, it’s luck. I’ve played my bit, but thankfully I left on my own accord due to a positive reason. No one removed me).”
