Manoj Tiwary To Miss Bengal Camp After Suffering From Knee Injury

Bengal senior batsman Manoj Tiwary will miss the team camp beginning at the Jadavpur University second campus ground at Saltlake from Friday owing to a knee injury. This will be sad news for all the Bengal fans as Manoj Tiwary is a match-winner for any team he plays and he is one of the most experienced players in the domestic circuit. The 35-year-old last played for India in 2015 against Zimbabwe.
Manoj Tiwary being termed as one of the unluckiest cricketers from India after scoring a lof of runs has always been left out from Indian squad. He made his debut 12 years back in 2008 and has never settled into the Indian batting lineup.
He has a hundred and a fifty in 12 ODIs to his name for India in ODIs and his IPL numbers have been really good though he has fallen out of the radar now. A good season in the domestic circuit might pull his chances back for IPL.

Manoj Tiwary To Undergo Rehabilitation
Manoj Tiwary has been advised to take rest and undergo rehabilitation to make himself available soon in the camp. Manoj Tiwary who has sustained the cartilage injury on his left knee at the beginning of the season will be joining the camp as soon as he recovers. Bengal meanwhile, on Thursday named a 32 player camp under the batting consultant VVS Laxman.
“Manoj Tiwary is nursing an injury and will not be attending the camp for now. He will join as soon as he is able to resume practice,” joint secretary Debabrata Das said in a statement.
“The injury has aggravated. I have been advised rest and will be back as soon as my rehab is complete,” Manoj Tiwary said.

Jhulan Goswami To Be Signatory In Blood Donation Camp
Bengal Cricket Association’ president Avishek Dalmiya had said that Indian bowler Jhulan Goswami will be the first woman cricketer to be the signatory in their blood donation camp.
The camp will be held at Eden garden and districts on February 3rd. Jhulan Goswami who is one of the leading pacers from India made her international debut way back in 2002 and she was the ICC woman’s cricketer of the year in 2007.

Manoj Tiwary is one of the greatest servants of domestic cricket in India and to add to that, he performs consistently for his state team in every tournament.
