Marcus Stoinis Bought By Punjab Kings For INR 11 crore at IPL Auction 2025

Australia star Marcus Stoinis has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at a base price of INR 2 crore. In the last season of the IPL, he plied his trade for Lucknow Super Giants.
Marcus Stoinis' journey in the IPL began in 2016 when he was signed up by Punjab Kings. In his first season, he scored 146 runs and picked up 8 wickets as well. He stayed with the Punjab Kings till 2018 before joining Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2019.
He scored 211 runs and picked up 2 wickets in the only season that he played for the Bengaluru-based outfit. In IPL 2020, he plied his trade for Delhi Capitals and enjoyed a brilliant campaign. He scored 352 runs and picked up 13 wickets as Delhi Capitals made it to the final for the very first time.
Stoinis stayed with Delhi for one more season before being signed up by Lucknow Super Giants ahead of IPL 2022. In IPL 2023, he enjoyed his best season with the bat, scoring 408 runs in addition to picking up 5 wickets.
He did well with the bat in IPL 2024 too. Stoinis scored 388 runs including a century at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. He also scored two half-centuries and picked up 4 wickets.

Punjab Kings have signed up Marcus Stoinis for INR 11 crore. Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru started the bidding before both of them were outbid by the Kings.
