England Cricket Team is all set to play Test Series in Pakistan after 2005. The Men in Green would be delighted as earlier there were concerns regarding the Test Series due to the assassination attempt on former PM Imran Khan.

This Test Series is extremely important for Pakistan as they still have a chance to make it to the World Test Championship Final 2021-23. They are currently placed at the 3rd position with 75 percentile. The Men in Green would be aware of the fact that they cannot take England lightly as they would be eager to spoil the party.

Mark Wood Ruled Out of 1st Test Match

Earlier it was expected that Wood would be fit for the 1st Test Match but now it looks unlikely that he would be fit. Skipper Ben Stokes was asked about whether the management would call up a replacement for Mark Wood “No, we’re sticking with it. We’re not going to call up another seamer to this group.”

“We took the decision to let Brooky and Woody spend that time at home, obviously being at Pakistan and the World Cup,We felt a week at home for them would be more beneficial, just to get their batteries recharged, and obviously with Woody’s injury, getting home and being around his wife and child would be better than being out here and getting all his rehab, which he could do at home,” he added.

Great Chance for England

England would sense that they have a solid chance to win a Test Series in England. The team should try to take a leaf out of Australia vs Pakistan Test Series where the Aussies won the series by 1-0. There’s no doubt that Pakistan would be well prepared for England’s ultra-aggressive approach as we can see riveting action.

Head Coach Brendon McCullum & Skipper Ben Stokes will have to be spot-on with their selection. There is a chance that the 18-year-old leg spinner Rehan Ahmed would be drafted into the playing 11 as he can be the trump card for the team.
