The Bazballing England team would be looking to continue playing their aggressive brand of cricket in Australia, but it won't be easy against the likes of Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood.

England have quite a few injury concerns ahead of the Ashes, and if all the players are fit and available, they will fancy their chances of doing well Down Under.

Talking about Australia, they have got a great bowling unit, but the batters have not been able to perform well for a long time, and it also resulted in their WTC Final loss.

Former World No.1 batsman Marnus Labuschagne registered the scores of 17 & 22 against South Africa in the ICC World Test Championship Final. It acted as the final nail in the coffin for the struggling batter as Marnus Labuschagne was dropped from the side.

Meanwhile, former ICC Match Referee David Boon said that there won't be too many changes in the Australia squad from the one that travelled to the West Indies. He said:

“I’ve got to be a bit careful here because if I get too hard one way, George (Bailey) won’t speak to me. I don’t think there will be that much change in the Perth team," said Boon on SEN Tassie radio.

David Boon picks Australia's playing XI for Ashes opener, Marnus Labuschagne axed

Boon also picked his Australia playing XI with Usman Khawaja, Sam Konstas, Steve Smith, Travis Head, and Cameron Green as the top five, followed by Beau Webster, Alex Carey as No. 6 and No.7. His bowling unit consisted of Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, and Nathan Lyon.

“The way it has been selected in the last six months or so, I don’t think there will be much change but there will be change after the Ashes. I’d stick with Usman and there’s a choice to make in the second opener. I’d like them to give Konstas a go, with Smith 3, Head 4, Green at 5, Webster at 6, Carey 7 then Cummins, Starc, Hazlewood and Lyon," Boon said.

Boland will be in the squad - David Boon

David Boon further said that Scott Boland will continue as the fourth seamer in the line-up on the back of his unbelievable performances, and the likes of Jake Weatherald, Nathan McSweeney, and Campbell Kellaway will fight for the other remaining spots.

“Boland will be in the squad, then it depends, the second opening position may depend on the four shield games prior to the Ashes."

"There are three names for me: (Jake) Weatherald and then two young talented players (Nathan) McSweeney and (Campbell) Kellaway from Victoria. The key is, those that may be in the mix, they have to play those four Shield games for maximum opportunity," he added.
