Former New Zealand National Cricket Team batter Martin Guptill talked about his time opening with India National Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma. He also expressed his desire to face Hardik Pandya, saying that he has enjoyed his battles with the all-rounder.

Martin Guptill, who recently called time on his international career, has been having a great time in the leagues across the globe. The opening batter has had a huge success while playing franchise cricket and is currently part of the Legend 90 League for Chhattisgarh Warriors.

Guptill reached his century in just 34 balls, and even after that, his carnage didn't stop. The opening batter played an unbeaten 160* off just 49 balls, slamming 16 sixes and 12 boundaries. This helped his team post a total of over 200 runs, which happened for the first time in the tournament.

Big Boys Unikari couldn't chase the target as they managed just 151 runs and went on to lose the game by a margin of 89 runs. For his impressive effort with the bat, Martin Guptill was awarded Player of the Match as he gained huge praise from fans across the globe.

After the match, Martin Guptill recalled his time in the Indian Premier League (IPL), playing for Mumbai Indians. He was asked about who he would love to open the batting with, replying to which he named Rohit Sharma.

"I've opened with him before, I enjoy batting with Rohit Sharma."

Guptill was part of Mumbai Indians in 2016 and got an opportunity to play alongside greats of Indian cricket. He had a decent record in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as he scored 270 runs in the 13 games that he played in the league.

Guptill also talked about his desire to face Hardik Pandya, saying that he is eager to face him as the duo has had amazing battles over the years. He said:

Guptill was the stalwart for the New Zealand National Cricket Team. The batter played 47 Tests for the team, scoring 5548 runs at 29.39. He also played 198 ODIs for the Kiwis, amassing 7346 runs at 41.5. In 122 T20Is, he slammed 2602 runs. Overall, he hit 23 centuries.
