Indian opener Mayank Agarwal finally reacted to the viral selfie with MS Dhoni, Rishabh Pant, and Jasprit Bumrah from the 2019 World Cup. Mayank Agarwal put an end to debates and conspiracy theories about the hand on Rishabh Pant’s shoulder in the photo.

Following their victory against Bangladesh in the 2019 ODI World Cup, the cricketers were spotted enjoying the English summer while basking in the sun. Hardik Pandya posted a picture on Instagram, but many on social media found the group photo quite confusing.

It Is My Hand On Rishabh Pant – Mayank Agarwal

On Thursday, September 28, Mayank Agarwal humorously clarified that his hand was indeed on Rishabh Pant’s shoulder. The right-handed batter emphasized that the conspiracy theories circulating on social media are false.

“‼️‼️After years of extensive research, debates, and countless conspiracy theories, let the nation finally know : it is MY hand on @RishabhPant17 shoulder ‼️‼️ Ps : any and all other claims are misleading and not true,” wrote the caption.

When asked about whose hand is on Pant’s shoulder in the same picture, Dinesh Karthik quipped, “Even am wondering . Best is to ask @RishabhPant17”

Whatever Has To Come Its Way, It Will Come – Mayank Agarwal

In a recent PTI interview, Mayank Agarwal expressed his desire to make a comeback for the Indian team. He emphasized his focus on giving his best at every opportunity, considering it an opportunity rather than pressure.

“See, I am somebody who does not think too much about it. I have been dealt a hand and I don’t have much control on what hand I have been dealt with. But I really want to put in everything from my side. On every given opportunity, I want to go out there, score runs and win games. Whatever has to come its way, it will come.”

“I don’t look at it as pressure, as I look at it as opportunity. Like I said, wherever I play, whichever tournament I play I want to go and get runs. I am somebody who I can ask myself some tough questions over the years.

Mayanka made his international debut in a boxing day Test match against Australia during the Border Gavaskar (BGT) 2018-19. He last played for India in a Test match against Sri Lanka in Bengaluru in 2022.
