Mayank Agarwal to be discharged from hospital on 31st January following health scare in flight - Reports

In what has been the latest development as per the reports in ESPNCricinfo, it is learned that Mayank Agarwal is all set to be discharged from the hospital on Wednesday (31st January) evening. The Karnataka batter was admitted to a private hospital in Agartala on Tuesday (30th January) after his in-flight medical emergency.
Mayank Agarwal consumed a liquid from a bottle mid-air and after that, he complained of stomach pain and a burning sensation in his throat and mouth. He was onboard from Agartala to Surat for Karnataka’s next Ranji Trophy fixture against railways. After his condition got worse, he was deplaned and then rushed to hospital.
After spending a day in Agartala Hospital, Mayanka Agarwal will be discharged today evening. The batter will be traveling back to Bengaluru, where he reportedly will see another hospital for further investigations. The reports claimed that Karnatka skipper will be given injections so that he remains pain-free for his travel back to Bengaluru.
It is learned that Mayank Agarwal will have to spend two more days in hospital to recover fully. This means that the batter will be missing Karnataka’s next fixture against Railways, starting Friday (2nd February). In his absence, Nikin Jose is expected to captain the team for the next match.
ILS Hospital in Agartala recently provided an update about the batter Mayank Agarwal and declared him “clinically stable”. They confirmed that the opening batter experienced some oral irritation and swelling on the lips. The hospital released the medical bulletin related to the condition of the batter.
With all the developments folding about Mayank Agarwal’s health, the Karnataka team manager issued a written complaint. K Kiran Kumar (SP, Tripura West) confirmed the development while speaking to PTI. He stated:
“While sitting on a flight, he saw a pouch in front of him, and thinking of it as water, drank it. He had swelling and ulcers in his mouth. His condition is normal, and his vitals are stable. His manager has made a complaint. We are registering the complaint, and will investigate the matter.”

Karnataka skipper Mayank Agarwal also provided a fitness about himself. The opening batter posted his photo on his Instagram account and said that he is feeling better and will be gearing up for the comeback. He also thanked his well-wishers for their support. He stated:

Mayanka Agarwal has been in the terrific touch in the ongoing Ranji Trophy. The batter has slammed two centuries and one half-century so far in the season. Him missing the next game against Railways will be a huge blow for the Karnataka team. They are currently placed second in Group C, with two wins, a loss, and a draw in four matches.
It remains to be seen how Karnataka will go about business for the next match without star batter Mayank Agarwal. The batter would be eager for a comeback and would be hoping to continue his good form in the tournament.
