Mitchell Starc, the Delhi Capitals' premier fast bowler, was seen in a never-before-seen avatar while bowling to skipper Axar Patel in the nets. Starc's avatar was not fiery or aggressive as usual but was rather hilarious for the Capitals.
Delhi Capitals are one of the IPL teams that are yet to win the IPL, and their hopes end this season as well. The Capitals have a very poor net run rate, and hence, even if they can win their upcoming game, they are not likely to qualify for the playoffs.
The Capitals will play their final game of the season against the Kolkata Knight Riders at KKR's home ground at the Eden Gardens. The Axar Patel-led side caused several upsets after they were eliminated, and despite a poor season, they have played some amazing brand of cricket.
Mitchell Starc's hilarious act leaves Axar Patel giggling amid a net session
A recent viral video featured Mitchell Starc, the Australian speedster, bowling against DC skipper Axar Patel in the nets. During the session, Starc was spotted making hilarious sounds in the middle of his run-up.
During the first ball, Starc rushed in with the ball in hand and roared midway through his run-up, to which Axar Patel laughed out loud. The skipper said, "Dekha hai aisa kabhi? Fast bowler ko roar karwa diya chalu bowling mein."
Starc then continued the spree in the second ball and intentionally made a 'meow' sound as he bowled to the skipper. Axar missed that ball, and Starc celebrated with his arms in the air.

Axar interrupts Starc after losing his focus against the star pacer
After these incidents had already left the captain laughing, he struggled to maintain his focus while he was facing one of the world's most fierce fast bowlers. Patel's batting form has been clicking late into the edition, and Axar hence needs more practice ahead of the final league game.
However, Starc continued making those odd sounds as he grunted again before delivering that third ball to his captain. However, this time Patel stopped him and said that he is losing all his focus as his attention is on the bowler rather than his bowling.
He then bowled the fourth ball without making any disturbing noises, and Axar too acknowledged it, saying that's fine, while Starc reciprocated, keeping a finger on his lips.
Mitchell Starc gears up for his final IPL 2026 appearance in the KKR vs DC clash
Mitchell Starc has been featuring for the Delhi Capitals over the past five games. He was unavailable due to an injury during the first eight games of the season and arrived in India only after the Capitals were halfway through the tournament.
Since his return, Starc, as per his reputation, has been a promising wicket-taker but has not been very economical in his spells. The KKR vs DC match will probably mark the final clash for the Australian in this season of the IPL.
Mitchell Starc would then return home to keep track of his fitness and train himself for the upcoming long red-ball season for Australia.
