Former Indian cricketer Pragyan Ojha revealed what Zaheer Khan told him about Mumbai Indians pacer Arjun Tendulkar. He said that the former left-arm fast bowler said that Junior Tendulkar is someone who needs to be dragged out of the nets and is very dedicated.

Arjun Tendulkar has hogged the headlines for the last few weeks. The left-arm pacer made his debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 for Mumbai Indians and was decent with the ball in the two games he played.

Arjun Tendulkar yet again extracted swing with the new ball and then exhibited brilliant death bowling that saw him getting praise from all the cricket lovers. He defended 20 runs and also took one wicket to win the game for his side. The left-arm pacer conceded just 5 runs in the last over handing MI their third win of the season.

Pragyan Ojha said that Arjun Tendulkar has the temperament and skills and pointed out how he was trying to swing the bowlers into the batters.

Speaking during the interaction on Jio cinema, he said: “I feel, as a young boy who is just playing his second game, he’s shown what hard work and dedication can help you achieve. Bowling those overs isn’t easy, especially when you’re playing in your second game. Whatever were the things he was trying to do, they were happening for him.

“He was trying to get the ball to swing into the batter, he was able to do that. He was trying to bowl the yorkers, and he was able to do that too. He’s got the temperament, the skill, and he wants to work hard.”

Pragyan Ojha further went on to say that Zaheer Khan once told him that Arjun Tendulkar is difficult to get out of the nets. He added that the pacer needs to improve but he’s dedicated.

He added: “I was talking to Zaheer Khan the other day, he told me that Arjun is someone you have to drag out of the nets, that’s the dedication he has. We have to judge him as an individual, not as a legend’s son. He has to improve, obviously.

“As T20 cricket continues to evolve, you need to have as many skills as possible to sustain in this kinds of leagues, and further go and play a higher level of cricket.”

Arjun Tendulkar will be next seen in action when Mumbai Indians (MI) will take on Punjab Kings (PBKS) in their next match on Saturday (22nd April).
