Michael Vaughan on Twitter was quick to post a video on the famous historic series win for India against Australia at the Gabba and he came up with an interesting tweet. India retained the Border Gavaskar trophy by winning the series for the second consecutive time in Australia.

Without the likes of Virat Kohli, Mohammad Shami and Bumrah, the young players have stepped up to the occasion and have performed really well under pressure. This will go down as one of the greatest comebacks after getting all out for 36 in the first test and to win the series is remarkable.

Ajinkya Rahane, the stand-in skipper has maintained his record of no wins in his captaincy and has led the young side really well without the likes of the experienced players. India faced a lot of criticism after losing in the first test at Adelaide and they needed a big performance to bring the team together for the boxing day test. They did put up a stunning performance at Melbourne but again in the Sydney test India were under the radar in the fourth innings when Australia had set up a big target. India nearly batted out 131 overs in the final innings of the Sydney test and manage to draw the third test with brave innings from Vihari and Ashwin.
