The Ashes 2025-26 will start from November 21, and former English skipper Michael Vaughan has dropped a massive prediction on England's chances in the series. This verdict is very different from the previous prediction made by him.
England landed in Australia quite a while ago and started their preparations ahead of the Perth Test. Steve Smith will be seen leading Australia for the first Test in the absence of their captain.
England's last win in the Ashes on Australian soil came back in 2010/11 with a 3-1 triumph under Andrew Strauss' leadership. Since then, they have lost all three Ashes in Australia and have not won a single game in their last 15 clashes, with 13 losses to their name.
Michael Vaughan drops a massive prediction for the upcoming Ashes
Former England captain Michael Vaughan has been making wild claims regarding the upcoming Ashes, as he had predicted that the Australians would be crushed by the Englishmen on their own soil, since this is the weakest Australian team in history.
Now, Michael Vaughan has predicted that until Ben Stokes is fit for England, the series is likely to end in a 2-2 draw between the two giants.
"As long as B Stokes stays fit, I think this series is going to be 2-2 .. England to win in Perth with no Pat or Josh .. As long as we have no more Injuries before the first Test, that’s my final prediction .. #Ashes #OnOn" Michael Vaughan tweeted through his X handle.

Mark Wood has been cleared of any Injury concern ahead of the Perth Test
England received a scare when injury-prone Mark Wood walked off the field during a warm-up game recently after bowling just eight overs into the game. He then underwent scans, and fortunately for England, they did not reveal any serious damage to the cricketer.
He has been cleared to bowl, while Wood hasn't played for England since the knee injury in February. His return was planned in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, but he could not make a comeback then.
“Following precautionary scans on Friday, England fast bowler Mark Wood has been cleared of any concerns regarding his left hamstring,” the ECB confirmed in a statement.
Australia suffered three massive injury blows ahead of the Ashes Test
The Ashes is about to begin on the 21st of November in Perth, while the Test series is scheduled to conclude on the 8th of January with the final Test in Sydney. The Boxing Day Test has been scheduled to be played in Melbourne.
Both the English and Australian teams have been dealing with injuries ahead of the start of the summer Ashes. Australia faced the biggest blow in the form of their skipper Pat Cummins, who has been managing an injury and hasn't played competitively since July.
The next set of injuries came in the form of Sean Abbott's hamstring injury that occurred during the camp in New South Wales during the Sheffield Shield matches. Josh Hazlewood was injured at the same time and has been ruled out of the First Test, with Michael Neser announced as his replacement.
