Former England National Cricket Team captain Michael Vaughan trolled India National Cricket Team batter Virat Kohli. He compared the India batter with Joe Root and rated him far superior to Kohli while highlighting the stats of both batters.

England National Cricket Team batter Joe Root has hit a purple patch in the longest format of the game. It's fair to say that there is no one better than him currently in the format, as he has been scoring truckloads of runs for his team and winning the matches.

Joe Root, in the last few years, has done nothing wrong for the England National Cricket Team in the Tests. What has been sensational is his consistency with the bat as he has piled up runs in almost every match. He also has been rewarded for the same as he is currently the No.1 ranked Test batter in the world.

Joe Root has been on the leading run-getters list in Test cricket since 2021. He topped the charts in 2021 and then was the second highest run-scorer in 2022 followed by 5th leading run-getter in 2023. The batter in the ongoing year sits at the top of the list.

In the last 4 years, Joe Root has hit 16 Test centuries, and with the way he is batting, he is also in the race to break Sachin Tendulkar's record of most Test runs. He also now has the joint most centuries for England National Cricket Team in the longest format of the game.

Root's latest ton came in the ongoing Test match match against the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team. The second game of the three-match series between the teams is taking place at the home of cricket at Lord’s Cricket Stadium in London.

Joe Root came to bat when England National Cricket Team were under pressure and lost a few quick wickets. The batter bailed the team out of trouble and made sure that he took his team to the big total in the first innings. This was his 33rd Test ton as, he made everyone and applaud him.

Joe Root ended with his innings of 143 runs off 206 balls. He also hit 18 fours in his innings and took the England National Cricket Team to a total of 358 runs on the board. The batter hardly put a foot wrong before got out playing his famed reverse scoop.

On the other hand, Virat Kohli has been experiencing a dip in Test cricket. Since 2020, he hasn't been scoring runs consistently for the team. The right-hander has been contributing well to his team but he hasn't been living up to the standards set by him in the last decade.

Michael Vaughan trolls Indian fans over Virat Kohli's downfall in Test cricket

With Joe Root scoring truckloads of runs and Virat Kohli experiencing a downfall in Test cricket, Michael Vaughan left no stone unturned in mocking the India batter. Michael Vaughan wrote down the stats of both the players on the drawing board and mocked the Indian fans.
