The Sri Lankan coach Mickey Arthur was highly animated in the second ODI and he did show off his emotions on the ground by having a long debate with his captain Dasun Shanaka. Sri Lanka lost the second ODI despite having the upper hand until the 35th over but Deepak Chahar stood in their ways and pulled off a blinder of an innings instead.

Sri Lanka had the biggest chance of leveling the series yesterday but they managed to spoil it completely and in the end, India came out on top again. It was hard to digest for the Sri Lankans who have been trying to improve game by game and they did manage to put up a great fight. A lot of things happened after the game including the incident between Shanaka and Mickey Arthur that shook the Twitter world.

Russell Arnold Comment’s On Mickey Arthur’s Reactions

Former Sri Lankan batsman Russell Arnold wasn’t impressed with the coach Mickey Arthur arguing with the captain Shanaka on the field and he suggested that it should have happened inside the dressing room.

Mickey Arthur was quick to respond to it, stating that he and the captain were both frustrated about the loss and he wanted Arnold to that it was a healthy debate. Arthur added that there is nothing silly to make a bad picture out of it.

“That conversation between Coach and captain should not have happened on the field but in the dressing room.” Russell Arnold tweeted

“Russ, we win together and lose together but we learn all the time! Dasun and myself are growing a team and we both were very frustrated we did not get over the line! It was actually a very good debate, no need to make mischief out of it!” Mickey Arthur Replied to it.

Positive Signs For Sri Lanka Moving Forward

Sri Lanka would be sad to lose the game after playing so well for the most part of the game, but they will be happy to at least put up a fight that will benefit them in the future. Chamira Karunaratne and Asalanaka have been really good performers while Hasaranga showed he is a class act with the ball yesterday.
