The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday announced a high-profile Cricket Technical Committee (CTC), which will be headed by Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq. Former skippers Inzamam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Hafeez will be the other two members of the technical committee.

The newly formed high-profile Cricket Technical Committee will advise PCB Management Committee Chairman Zaka Ashraf on cricket-related matters. Last week, Zaka Ashraf announced that this committee was created to assist him in the administration and implementation of cricket policies.

Misbah-ul-Haq To Lead Cricket Technical Committee

The Committee has wide-ranging powers to make recommendations, including the appointment of new coaches for the national cricket team.

“The CTC (Cricket Technical Committee) will provide recommendations on cricket-related matters, including, but not limited to the overall domestic structure, scheduling, and playing conditions.

“The appointment of the national selection committees, the appointment of national team coaches, central and domestic contracts and plans for the development of umpires, referees and curators,” a statement from the PCB said.

“The CTC will have the powers to invite additional cricket experts, and shall report to the head of the PCB Management Committee on a regular basis.”

The CTC’s primary focus is to decide the fate of Pakistan’s coaching staff amid speculation of changes. Additionally, the committee will prepare a schedule for the upcoming Quaid-e-Azam Trophy with a revamped domestic structure.

Can Produce The Best Cricketers – Zaka Ashraf

Zaka Ashraf expressed his delight in welcoming Misbah-ul-Haq, Inzamam-ul-Haq, and Mohammad Hafeez to the team, stating their experience will contribute to the improvement of cricket in Pakistan.

“I am delighted to welcome Misbah-ul-Haq, Inzamam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Hafeez on board for the betterment of cricket in our country. “These three former captains possess great cricket knowledge and understand the demands of modern-day cricket,” Ashraf said.

“Domestic cricket structure is a pillar of any cricketing nation. We have to make it foolproof and its structure progressive. The presence of Misbah, Inzamam and Hafeez, three of Pakistan’s most experienced and decorated cricketers who rose through the domestic ranks, will help us in providing our cricketers with the best system to thrive so that we can produce the best cricketers.”
