Pakistan head Coach Misbah ul Haq believes that the upcoming home series against South Africa won’t be having an influence in deciding his future in Pakistan’s coaching panel. South Africa and Pakistan are set to play two test matches and three T20s and this will be a historic moment for Pakistan who is hosting South Africa after a gap of 13 years.

Misbah ul Haq feels that the team’s performance is not satisfactory and he wants to ensure that the team does well in the upcoming series against South Africa. Misbah Ul Haq who was a terrific batsman in his days had mentioned the importance of performing which could only bring a separate place for any player in the playing XI and he must also be able to handle pressure if he has come to international duties.

Misbah ul Haq Focuses On Team Doing Well In The Upcoming Series

Misbah ul Haq has said that his sole focus will be on the upcoming series against South Africa. Pakistan is coming off a test series loss against  Newzealand and they need to make sure they put up a competing performance against the top sides to grow their stature. Misbah also told that various aspects have been taken into consideration for the team’s performance improvement and the coaching staff is more concentrating on this.

“I don’t think that [future as head coach] has anything to do with the South Africa series. I have always played cricket under pressure and you have to perform. You can never have any security or assurances,” said Misbah while speaking in a virtual press conference.“I’m not satisfied with the team’s performance and want to improve on that, obviously. Our entire focus is on the upcoming series and so we are on concentrating on other [speculations about coaching staff] thing,” he added.
