Former Pakistan pacer, Shoaib Akhtar has claimed that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to sack Misbah-ul-Haq. He has also claimed that the PCB has also finalized his successor and the board is not keen on working anymore with Misbah. Notably, Misbah-ul-Haq has had to bear the brunt of Pakistan’s poor performances in the international circuit recently.
Recently, the New Zealand Cricket Team beat Pakistan in the T20 and Test series and after that, a lot of former cricketers and fans have raised questions over Misbah’s role in the National side. Pakistan were also thrashed by England in August last year and since then, there has been a lot of disturbance in the Pakistan cricket corridors.
Now, Shoaib Akhtar has claimed that Misbah-ul-Haq is set to be sacked as the Pakistan head coach and the PCB will soon release an official statement to make the decision public.
Shoaib Akhtar Claims PCB Will Sack Misbah-ul-Haq Soon
“I am telling you the decision to sack Misbah has been made, Andy Flower will be replacing him. Andy Flower is currently not accepting the offer as he is the coach of the Multan Sultans in the PSL. He will take over the job once PSL gets over,” Shoaib Akhtar said.
“PCB’s cricket committee can do nothing, they just talk nonsense, just leave them. Committee has decided to give Misbah a chance, but the truth is, Misbah will be asked to leave. Waqar Younis is being asked to work under Misbah, it’s nonsense,” Shoaib Akhtar said on his YouTube channel.
PCB Knowingly Brings Average People To Put The Blame On: Shoaib Akhtar
Shoaib Akhtar went on to say that the Pakistan Cricket Board knowingly involves weak or average people in cricket administration so that they can later make them the scapegoat.
“Talking about Misbah, PCB brings in average people so that entire blame can be put on the person and then PCB decides to ask that said person to leave. PCB is very clever, they have been doing this for 20-25 years, they keep on bringing average people,” Shoaib Akhtar said.
“Pakistan will next take on South Africa, I am telling you if Pakistan does not create spinning tracks, the visiting team will score 500 every time. Defeating South Africa is the only chance Misbah has, I am telling you the contract with Andy Flower has been sealed,” Shoaib Akhtar concluded.
Notably, South Africa is all set to tour Pakistan for a Test and T20I series. The Proteas will play against the Pakistanis in a two-match Test series, the first game of which will begin from January 26. The T20I series will be a three-match series and it will commence from February 11 with the final game being played on February 14.
