Former West Indies skipper Kieron Pollard lauded Nicholas Pooran for guiding MI New York (MINY) to lift the title in the inaugural edition of the Major League Cricket (MLC). Kieron Pollard suggested MINY captain Nicholas Pooran to silence his critics with his performances with the bat.
Nicholas Pooran single-handedly led the team to become champions with a sensational knock. The left-handed batter scored an unbeaten 137 runs off 55 balls against the Seattle Orcas (SOC) on Sunday, July 30, at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas. He hit 10 boundaries and 13 sixes in his knock.

Kieron Pollard took to Instagram to hail Nicholar Pooran, adding that he is proud of the southpaw’s performance in the summit clash.

Earlier, MI New York opted to bowl first after winning the toss. Rashid Khan (3/9) and Trent Boult (3/34) restricted the opposition to 183-9 in their allotted 20 overs. Quinton de Kock shone with the bat for the Orcas, scoring 87 runs off 52 balls, including nine fours and four sixes.
MINY successfully chased down a 184-run target in just 16 overs with seven wickets to spare. Nicholas Pooran came to No. 3 in the first over. He smashed the Seattle Orcas’ bowlers to all parts of the ground. Dewald Brevis scored 20 runs off 18 deliveries, including two fours and one six.
